This was my first visit to Madrid, and although we were only here for a couple of days, we managed to walk around much of the central area of this beautiful city.

We stayed at the De Las Letras Hotel, on Gran Via and I thoroughly recommend it (the ground floor of the hotel is currently being renovated and looks as if it will be a stunning example of Art Nouveau architecture when completed)
